The General Directorate of Health Promotion (DGPS - spanish) is the technical legislative unit, under the Undersecretary for Prevention and Health Promotion, whose mission is to regulate, plan, coordinate, monitor, assess and advise on actions to promote the health of the population in the states, through the development and dissemination of standards, business models, technical documents and supporting materials and responsible for staff training statewide.

1988	General Directorate for Health Promotion.
1988	Mexican Network of Municipalities for Health.
1992	General Directorate of Health Promotion.
1995	General Directorate of Health Promotion.
2001	General Directorate of Health Promotion.

 

 

Mission Statement:

Establish healthy policies, strategies and effective services of health promotion towards a culture of responsibility and self-care population, such as social platform on health reform.
